Don’t want to race and don’t have much spare change to donate, but still want to hang out with us?  There are so many other ways to come participate!  In the spirit of supporting blood cancer research, take advantage of these other excellent opportunities:

• Donate blood!  The Puget Sound Blood Center will have a blood mobile on site for donations.  Every two minutes someone in Western Washington needs a blood transfusion. Help ensure this precious resource is available for ill and injured people in our community by giving blood.  Click to fill out a donor form so we know to expect you.  We want to have enough cookies to hand out to donors!
• Get on the Registry!  The bone marrow registry will have volunteers on site to get you on the national registry.  10,000 people need a transplant.  Only half receive one. Questions about what it means to donate marrow?  Come get answers at the race!
• Donate your locks!  The talented Colleen Freese of Urbane Salon will be on site to give you a new hairstyle when you donate your hair. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
